Calling All Innovators: SURGE Accelerator is looking for companies that are helping to solve the world’s energy problems using software

As all sectors of the energy industry continue to grow in complexity, there has never been a more critical time for innovation. A first for the energy industry, SURGE is a mentor-driven, seed accelerator modeled after successful Silicon Valley organizations designed to identify, prepare and support innovators as they take their ideas to market. SURGE’s first set of companies will meet together in Houston to engage in an immersive 3-month program in the Spring of 2012. SURGE is looking for candidates that have software breakthroughs in the most challenging energy sub-sectors, including Smart Grid, Energy Trading & Risk Management, and the Digital Oilfield.
